Late Shri D.B.Patil fought against the Government to secure justice for the poor land holders whose lands have been forcibly acquired while developing Navi Mumbai and due to his sacrifice, the local land holders is getting due compensation. But his name has not been proposed to any big project erected in Navi Mumbai. Hence white giving interview to news channel, MLA Shri Prashant Thakur expressed his as well as atish of the local PAPs to name the under construction Navi Mumbai airport
as Diba patil airport.
