A Committee was formed vide Govt.G.R. Date 21st February to study/examine the fisheries and environmental aspect of Dharamtar Creek and to determine the compensation , rehabilitation,i injustice caused to the fishermen community existed in the 47 villages of Pen and Alibag tehsils along the Dharamtar Creek. Inspected jetties of P. N. P. and J. S. W. Companies. Then travelled from Dharamtar to Ghodbunder and inspected the nets and manda planted by the fishermen of each village in the area. Also inspected the Barges route in the 135 belt. Heard the fishermens of Pen and Alibag talukas who are actually fishing in Dharamtar creek.

Heard the fishermens of Pen and Alibag talukas who are actually fishing in Dharamtar creek.[:hi]धरमतर खाडीतील मच्छीमारांवरील अन्याय, नुकसानभरपाई व पुनर्वसन अशा अनेक मागण्यांसंदर्भात पेण व अलिबाग तालुक्यातील धरमतर खाडीच्या किनारपट्टीवर असलेल्या 47 गावांतील रहिवाशांच्या मागणीमुळे 21 फेब्रुवारीच्या शासन निर्णयानुसार धरमतर खाडी व कोकणातील इतर खाड्ड्यांत मत्स्यव्यवसाय व प्रदूषणविषयक अभ्यासासाठी समिती गठीत करण्यात आली. या समितीच्या वतीने पी. एन. पी. कंपनी जेट्टी, जे. एस. डब्ल्यू कंपनीच्या जेट्ट्यांची पाहणी केली. त्यानंतर धरमतर ते घोडबंदरपर्यंतचा प्रवास करून क्षेत्रातील प्रत्येक गावाच्या मच्छीमारांनी लावलेल्या जाळ्यांची व मांडा यांची पाहणी केली. तसेच 135च्या पट्ट्यातील बार्जेस मार्गाची पाहणी केली. धरमतर खाडीत प्रत्यक्ष मासेमारी करणार्‍या पेण व अलिबाग तालुक्यातील मच्छीमारांची भेट घेतली[:] 1
