On the occasion of memorial day of late D.B.Patil organized Gherao Agitation to CIDCO office so as to resolve various delayed problems ofPAPs and to name the Navi Mumbai International Airport as Loknete D.B.Patil Airport. Thousands of project-affected residents and sons of the soil were participated in the agitation who expressed their displeasure against the State Govt. and CIDCO. HonC.M.and State Govt. has pushed a proposal to name the Navi Mumbai International Airport as Balasaheb Thakre Airport by trampling the sentiments of Bhumiputras under feet. We have respect about Balasaheb, but the soil on which the airport is going to be constructed is smeared with D.B.Patil’s blood and hence We PAPs demand to give his name to the Airport. We also demand that the PAPs should be taken into confidence while carrying out corrections in the G.R.in respect of houses constructed according to needs in Navi Mumbai.

The agitation was a spark of discontent and CIDCO and the State Govt. should meet all the demands of the Bhumiputras and project victims before it subsides. The fight will continue till the name of ‘D.B.Patil is added to the airport and various demands of Bhumiputras are met.
